Title VI

Yavapai Regional Transit, Inc. hereby gives public notice that it is the Agency’s policy to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), and other related authorities in all programs and activities. Yavapai Regional Transit’s Title VI Program requires that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, low income status or limited English proficiency (LEP) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity.

Passengers using federally funded public transportation are entitled to equal access, seating and treatment. Under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended) and related statutes, Yavapai Regional Transit must ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any federally funded program, activity or service it administers.

Any person, who believes his/her Title VI or ADA rights have been violated, may file a complaint. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with the Yavapai Regional Transit, within one hundred eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
